The Yes and No of Setting Boundaries
A Tiny Practice for Self-Care

When we think about setting boundaries, we often focus on the “No” that we’re establishing in relation to others. Self-care specialist Jeanette Bronée flips that around to look at the “Yes” we’re creating for ourselves — introducing a more compassionate expression of the intention to distinguish between our needs and others’ expectations.



Jeanette Bronée, CHHC, is a nourishment expert and coach, founder of the Path for Life Self-Nourishment Center in New York City, and author of Eat to Feel Full. Her online 9-Step Path for Life Self-Nourishment Program incorporates her three essential principles for lasting personal transformation — food knowledge, mindfulness, and habit shifting. Her goal is to empower her clients to take charge of their daily well-being, performance, and future health by changing their relationship with food.

    I like the idea, but I’m having trouble understanding it. Perhaps a slightly longer clip with some further explanation or examples of how to put the principle into practice would be easier to understand.
