Tara Healey and Laurence Magro
The best place to practice mindfulness? At work.

Work stress — we all feel it. Call this person back, send those emails, book that meeting…the list goes on and on. With all the rushing, typing, talking, and meeting, it’s understandable how you might get anxious about what’s next, instead of focusing on what’s right in front of you — what’s actually happening at that moment.

Simple mindfulness practices can significantly boost your energy and focus, improve your health, reduce your stress, and help you better handle one of life’s major stressors — work.

We are inviting you to join us for Mindfulness@Work to find out how you can become more confident, creative, and focused on the job.

Led by Tara Healey, a pioneer and expert in the field of mindfulness at work, and Laurence Magro, a therapist specializing in mindfulness-based interventions, this powerful 2 ½ hour workshop will this powerful 2 ½ hour workshop will use experiential activities and facilitator-led discussion to examine the application of mindfulness in the workplace. We will explore how mindfulness may help you:

  • Communicate more clearly and harmoniously with coworkers
  • Bounce back more quickly from setbacks
  • Appreciate the full value of your work and the work of others
  • Stay calm and clear when you are under pressure to make quick decisions
  • Gain access to intuition, and develop the self-awareness needed, to choose the best action in the moment

In recent years, scientific research into the effects of mindfulness is showing promising results — practicing these easy-to-learn techniques can help improve your physical health, and boost your ability to respond to stress rather than react to it. This increasingly compelling evidence has inspired more and more organizations and businesses to offer mindfulness training programs to their employees.
